  1. How long does the whole process take?
    • As per the CIC, they plan to complete the processing within 6 months. With the current trend, it takes around 4 months approx. in 80% of the cases.
  2. What is a good IELTS score?
    • 8,7,7,7 in Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking is considered a good score. Anything more than this is a plus. However, to be eligible for express entry, according to CIC, atleast 6 in all sections is mandatory.
  3. What is considered a good CRS score?
    • With the current trend (from Jan 2018), any score above 440 can be considered a good score for Federal Skilled Worker Express Entry. 
  4. Should ECA be done first before taking IELTS?
    • Both ECA and IELTS can be done in parallel. 
  5. How long will it take to get the IELTS results?
    • It takes approximately 10 days after the examination date. These details will be provided at the exam center and in the email 
  6. How can the score be increased?
    • Score may be increased by getting a higher education degree qualification, improving IELTS score or by Canadian experience.
  7. Can I decline the Invitation after I receive?
    • Yes, you can. Your application will again be in the pool for the next draw.
  8. Within how many days can you decline the invitation?
    • Within  30 days, you have to decline if you intend to do so.
  9. How many days do I have after I receive ITA to submit the documents?
    • 60 days 
  10. Do I have to provide details of my expired passport?
    • Not necessary. Only the latest valid passport is sufficient. If you provide the expired passport details, remember to upload their scanned copies as well.
  11. Do I need to scan and upload all pages of my passport?
    • No need to scan the blank pages of the passport.
  12. Is there a size limit on the scanned documents for upload?
    • There is a restriction of 4MB per file to be uploaded.
