Immigrate as skilled worker

Express Entry is a process through which skilled workers can apply for Permanent Residency and therefore live, work and settle in Canada. There are 3 programs under which you will be broadly categorized and can apply Express Entry profile.

1. Federal Skilled worker program
• Management jobs - restaurant managers, mine managers, shore captains (fishing)
• Professional jobs - doctors, dentists, architects
• Technical jobs - chefs, plumbers, electricians  
2. Federal Skilled Trades program
• Industrial, electrical and construction trades, maintenance and equipment operations, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production,
• Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
• Chefs and cooks, butchers and bakers
3. Canadian Experience Class
• All the above mentioned jobs in 1 & 2 but should have experience in Canada.

Though these are the major differentiating factors, there are other criteria based on which your application can be classified.

Eligibility Check

Canada uses a points based system. The total score is calculated on points based on age, education, experience, civil status and so on.
